Seeking Guest Bloggers
Filed in archive Blogging Issues on February 13, 2008
I am hoping to open up this blog a bit to other writers and maybe even financial companies that want to talk about new stuff going on in their worlds (although I am going to be very cautious about this second group).
I would like to have a couple of posts a week from people that have differing viewpoints and/or life experiences and/or financial acumen than me. While this blog isn't CNBC.com or whatever, it still has a decent little audience of people interested in personal finance and you might be happy to get your views in front of them. And if you don't, then poo on you.
If you're interested in being heard, just send me your blog post in an e-mail to j.mchenry@indexcreditcards.com. If you want to make sure I'll actually post it, you may want to e-mail me first with your idea for a post before actually completing it. I reserve the right to not publish any post that I think is too spammy or reads like someone wrote it while high on peyote.
I don't care if you have a blog or don't have a blog or work for a bank trying to market its new checking account that rewards you with tickets to the Ice Capades - BUT I do want blog posts that might be interesting to our audience versus only of interest to you. So, if you can make that happen, contact me.
A few caveats:
* If you have a blog, please don't send me a post you did on your own blog for me to re-print here. I'm only looking for original posts, although of course you're free to link back to this site from your blog when/if your post gets published. (And of course I'll make sure to link back to your blog (if you have one) within the guest post.)
* If you represent a company, this is not a call for your press releases. I will not print your press release verbatim. On the other hand, if you want to put together a conversational blog post related to a press release and it doesn't include generic quotes from your CEO or VP of International Relations or whoever, that could work.
* I am not going to publish a bunch of posts about credit repair or debt consolidation or any of that type of BS. It's just too boring and no one wants to read it.
Please send your submission or idea for a post to me, and I'll be happy to publish what I can. But please don't be angry if I decide not to go with yours. Thanks.
