Hope you enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend and spent at least a few moments thinking about what Memorial Day means other than a day off and the unofficial start to summer.
Below, 10 place you can go for personal finance insights:
1. Garage sales might not be your thing, until the day you stock up on 23-cent shirts for your kid.
2. Very interesting read by Scott Burns about how the inflation rate you read about is not necessarily indicative of the inflation rate you're paying.
3. A reminder to buy low, sell high, not sell in a panic.
4. "27 percent of those with education-related debt say they have delayed getting a medical or dental procedure." I've done this.
5. USA Today has a very interesting ongoing series profiling certain couples/familes and how they're doing toward their personal finance dreams. The latest installment is another good one.
6. Life insurance is getting cheaper. It may be time to do a rate check, even if you've been holding a policy for a while.
7. Armchair Millionaire discusses the pros and cons of using home equity to consolidate higher-rate bills.
8. Uncle Bill says things ain't so bad.
9. Festival of Frugality offers many tips for the truly savings-obsessed.
10. From the festival proceed to the Carnival of Personal Finance.
