1. You're getting a break on your phone bill soon -- beginning July 31, consumers will stop paying a 3 percent federal excise tax on long-distance calls and bundled services, and you can get even get some of the old charges refunded. It's pennies from heaven, I tell ya!
2. Want to activate your credit card? Sure, but first we will subject you to activation hell where we try to sell you every service under the sun!
3. Online discussion with Consumer Reports' Amanda Walker offers many interesting tidbits to help you save, or at least not waste, your money. Sometimes I wonder if I trust Consumer Reports too much, but they haven't steered me wrong very often.

5. Are YOU the Joneses?
6. Yesterday I talked about my skepticism at the thought that Ivy League grads ended up at the same economic level as other graduates, because they start out far ahead upon graduation

8. I've read this before, but it's a good reminder that saving for retirement later is going to cost you a lot more than saving for retirement now.
9. Best Credit Card Ever - Nothing earth-shattering here, but humorous, with lines such as "Never raised your fist in joy due to a credit card offer? You haven't been receiving the right one then!"
10. I like the title of this post about trying to cheat the neighbor out of a dime almost as much as the story. I can just hear that dime calling out to her: "you don't deserve me, you don't deserve me..."
