Uncle Bill:
So with the draft board breathing down our necks we started the process. And as in any group, the herdseperates. Joe and Frank and one Steve didn't have the grades or the SAT scores and knew they were headed to Southern Illinois University for drug dealer training.
Stop Buying Crap:
...the average person who's interested in financial independence will garner more from a sentence written by (Jonathan) Clements, than an entire book written by both Trump and Kiyosaki.
Tired But Happy:
My pride suffers when somebody waves my money away, as if they think I can't afford it. If I offer to pay but I back down when the other person insists, will they think I was just offering to be polite and that I was really hoping all along that they'd insist? Am I a parasite if I let my family take me out to dinner on a semi-regular basis? Did I feel more comfortable choosing a low-paying but altruistic career because I knew that I'd still be able to enjoy some of the trappings of an upper middle-class life thanks to my family? You can see how I can turn a simple dinner check into an existential dilemna.
My Open Wallet:
Well, here I am in Switzerland, where I've been invited to address the World Economic Forum on the global impact of the personal finance blogging movement...
