I have been remiss in sending out the love to other PF bloggers, and today I find much goodness, starting with this first quote that just cracked me up:

AskDong:
My blog is not an investment blog. It's a personal finance blog. However, I've gotten some comments from friends that some of the dribble I'm churning out nearly every day doesn't make very much sense, and not just because I'm a terrible writer.

Be Thrifty Like Us:
I'm not ashamed to admit it, I trash pick. When I see something good in the trash, I will pull over and get it. Now when my sister is in the car with me, she gets embarrassed and will try to hide so people don't see her, haha. My husband has no problem taking things from the trash as well. We've have had many a good trash pick together.

It's recycling and I'm not ashamed of it. Here is the list of 13 things I have picked from other people's trash:

Frugal Duchess:
After listening to a lesson about credit, interest and banking, my friend's child nodded and came up with another solution.

"I'll get another plastic card," he told his father: "I'll get the plastic card that makes money come out of a wall."

Wise Bread:
One of the most common questions I and many other interviewers ask is "tell me a little about yourself". In one incident I did regret asking this question because a woman told me about her life going back fifteen years. She included details such as sicknesses in the family and marital problems and other personal details. It was a bit overwhelming to say the least and since she kept on talking I did not get to ask her very many questions. It is best to just summarize a few of the jobs you have had and leave out all the personal details since they should not be part of the workplace anyway. It is perfectly fine to be friends with your coworkers, but making your interviewer your therapist is a big no-no.

Single Ma:
I don't believe in giving anonymously. I'm motivated by recognition.

Grad Money Matters:
If we do not use money for the things we really want, and are not willing to pay the premium for the peace of mind of doing things the way we like it and on our schedule, then what good is the money for?
