Before you get a new credit card, be sure that you can afford to pay if off each month. If you can't – then realize that it could be the start of financial trouble that you may not be able to get out of for years to come.
Although this advice is not popular, it is always best to be able to live within your means. This will give you less headaches at night, greater freedom and joy during the day – that many people do not have, but wish they did.

Recently my credit limit has been lowered on 3 popular credit cards I carry and I have a great credit score.
