Buying Stuff
by Justin McHenry on August 10, 2006

Now this:
It's a new way to do retail. From Tom Cruise's finger tips in The Minority Report to shoppers on Madison Avenue.
The Ralph Lauren Polo Store is reinventing window shopping by mounting a 67-inch touch-screen on its window display, where shoppers passing by can purchase merchandise.
You just whip out your credit card right there on the sidewalk and buy what you see in the window. A security guard nattily-clad in Polo separates is also stationed nearby to be sure you don't get jumped.
Next thing you know you'll be able to shop from home! Without even leaving your computer! That'll be awesome!
