2007 Money Resolutions
Filed in archive Funny by Justin McHenry on January 03, 2007

OK, so for this blog I'm offering up my special money-related resolutions. Here goes:
1. Eat Out More Often - If I wasn't eating at home all the time, I wouldn't have to go to the grocery store so often, thus saving money.
2. Cheat on My Taxes - Everyone does it, so don't get all high and mighty with me.
3. Get More Credit Cards - I think at this point I could probably get a full $100,000 credit line if I wanted it. Did you know that no one else is responsible for your credit card debt when you die? I could live large for a good long time and as long I can service that debt, I can string it out all the way til my demise.
4. Gain 10 Pounds - Keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer, thus saving on energy bills. Well, maybe it doesn't keep you cool in the summer. I'll worry about that later.
5. Exercise Less - Gym memberships cost money, running and walking shoes cost money, bikes cost money, treadmills cost money. I don't know why I never thought of this before. Plus, this will help me with my weight gain goals.
6. Buy a New Car Even Though My Other One Only Has 60,000 Miles On It And Runs Just Fine - I don't think I need to explain the wisdom here. My neighbors do this all the time. I'm tired of them having all the new stuff.
7. Raid My 401(k) - Fact is, I might not even live to 59 1/2. And I've got a new car to buy.
8. Buy a Karaoke Machine - This one isn't as sensible as the others, but I like to sing. I'm entitled to a splurge here and there, especially after all those other money-saving resolutions.
Happy New Year!
